The Crusader States have widespread magical oddities appearing from time to time.
So common in some cases that the unusual is overlooked. This is a magical heritage left over from the Miletian Empire. It was the western successor to the Conorrian Empire after the Mage Wars. It was destroyed by the Darothic Horde in 2282, and replaced by the Successor States.

That bit of history said some of the ancient Blood Mage teachings have been found. The Company of Wanderers has found several key artifacts and scrolls.

Lance of Longinus the Dragonslayer

The Grand Master of the Order of the Dawn, very late in years and near death stumbled upon the door steps of the Order House. In 2835 in triumph he returned carrying the great weapon. Tales are now told that he said something about not being too late as he watched the sun rise in the sky, his life was spent.

Either way the great weapon seems lost again for the Quest of Master Gnaeus was doomed. Urugall the dragon smote those seeking to destroy it and probably has the lance hidden deep in the heart of what was once Neldorea.

Hippogriffs

Wonderful creatures with the capability of flight. The Hippogriff is a dangerous foe and a very fast flyer capable of carrying a Warrior on various missions.  Their very existence was not known about in the States until the year 2891 when too many were spotted to keep secret.
