CONTEMPLATION

Oh mortal wound upon my breast

‘tis I that do recall

The ever burning vicious hate

within your soul doth dwell.

Should I that cannot therefore rest

to you bring forth a fall

And by your death reciprocate

and hate forever quell?

CONTEMPLATION

contemplated

No, I cannot to you bequest

through hideous enthrall

the destruction you create

in your concept of hell.

A greater force than you I wrest

‘till my last breath I haul

And I relinquish you to fate

for in God do I revel.
